Ready-to-use business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 is a 14.0-inch Windows 11 Pro notebook powered by a quad-core Intel Core i5-8365U processor that reaches 4.1 GHz. It ships with 8GB DDR4-2400 memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 1920 x 1080 IPS panel delivers 300 nits brightness and an anti-glare finish. Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles the display output.

Best for mobile professionals

Workers who need a lightweight, durable chassis with a quiet fanless profile for office applications, video calls and web browsing will appreciate the 45% NTSC colour coverage and integrated graphics. Buyers who require a dedicated GPU for 3D rendering, colour-critical photo editing or high-refresh gaming should look at a different class of machine.

Soldered 8GB DDR4-2400 memory

The system memory is not upgradeable, so the 8GB capacity is fixed for the life of the device. If your workflow regularly exceeds that limit — large datasets, virtual machines or heavy multitasking — this laptop will constrain performance.
