Compact 14'' business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 is a 14-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i5-8365U processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and is intended for office work, remote productivity and general business use.

U-series processor limits

The i5-8365U is a low-power U-series chip designed for thin-and-light chassis, so sustained heavy workloads will throttle earlier than higher-wattage alternatives. The integrated graphics share system memory and are suited to desktop applications, not modern 3D rendering or compute tasks.

Check your workflow needs

Buyers who need discrete graphics, user-replaceable memory modules or multiple high-speed storage bays should verify that this configuration matches those requirements before ordering. The 90-day battery warranty covers a shorter period than the one-year system warranty.
