ThinkPad T490s refurbished business ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad T490s is a refurbished 14-inch ultrabook built for mobile professionals who need a lightweight Windows 10 Pro machine. It runs on a quad-core Intel Core i7-8665U processor at 1.9GHz with 8MB cache and 8GB of DDR4 memory. The 256GB PCIe SSD provides fast storage for documents and applications.

Thermals noise and power in daily work

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles office workloads and video playback without a discrete GPU, keeping heat and fan noise low during typical business use. The 14.0-inch IPS display at 1920 x 1080 resolution draws modest power, supporting the supplier-rated battery life of up to 20 hours on a single charge. No dedicated graphics card means lower sustained power draw under normal productivity tasks.

Included accessories and software impact

Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed, delivering BitLocker encryption, Remote Desktop and domain-join features that corporate IT policies often require. The backlit keyboard and integrated webcam support after-hours work and video calls without extra peripherals. One HDMI port and two USB connections allow a monitor and basic accessories to be attached directly, reducing the need for a docking station in simple setups.
