Business-ready 14.1-inch laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T540P is a 14.1-inch laptop built for office and mobile professionals who need a durable Windows 10 Pro machine with a dual-core Intel Core i7 4th Gen processor at 3.00GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 2.5-inch 128 GB SSD for fast boot and application load times. The non-touch LED display runs at 1366 x 768 resolution and includes VGA and Mini DisplayPort outputs for external monitors.

Upgrade from slower mechanical drives

Replacing a traditional hard drive with the included 128 GB solid state drive cuts boot and application launch times dramatically. The jump is worth it when daily workflows involve frequent file access, multiple browser tabs or switching between Office apps. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 handles standard business visuals and video playback without a discrete GPU. The DVD-RW drive adds legacy media support for archives or installation discs.

Steady performance on typical workloads

Under sustained office loads the dual-core processor maintains consistent throughput for document editing, email and web-based tools. The 8 GB DDR3 ceiling limits heavy multitasking or large dataset work, so users running virtual machines or memory-hungry apps will hit the memory limit. Thermal design keeps the chassis comfortable during long sessions and the 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet plus 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi provide reliable wired or wireless connectivity.
