Ready-to-work business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T560 ships with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed and a 256 GB solid-state drive. An Intel Core i5-6300U processor running at 2.4 GHz with a 3.0 GHz boost handles office workloads. Eight gigabytes of DDR3L 1600 memory in a dual-channel configuration keep everyday multitasking responsive.

Suited to office and mobile professionals

The 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 non-touch display and integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 serve document work and video calls well. Buyers who need discrete graphics for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The Grade B cosmetic condition means visible scratches and shiny keyboard surfaces are present, so buyers wanting a pristine chassis should consider other stock.

Fits a docked or portable setup

One HDMI output connects an external monitor for a dual-screen desk. An SD card reader and 720p webcam support media transfer and conferencing without dongles. Bluetooth is built in for wireless peripherals. Two memory slots accept DDR3L modules up to a 32 GB total if more capacity is required later.

Questions about this item

Does the ThinkPad T560 need a specific DDR3L SODIMM type to reach the 32 GB maximum?

Yes, the laptop uses DDR3L 1600 modules in its two slots, so only low-voltage DDR3L SODIMMs will work for upgrades.

Can I keep using my older VGA monitor with the HDMI port on this T560?

The HDMI port carries digital video only; a passive VGA cable will not work, so an active HDMI-to-VGA adapter is required.

How do I confirm the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 is active after installing Windows 10 Pro?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and verify that Intel HD Graphics 520 appears without a warning icon.
