Business laptop with 15.6" FHD display

The Lenovo ThinkPad T560 is a 15.6-inch business laptop with a 1920 x 1080 IPS anti-glare screen. It runs on a 6th Generation Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor with up to 3.0 GHz Turbo Boost and 3MB cache. The system includes 8GB DDR3L 1866 memory and a 256GB SATA SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Suits office work; not for heavy creative loads

This laptop suits professionals handling documents, email, web apps and video calls with its HD 720p webcam and Dolby Audio Premium. The backlit keyboard and 3 x USB 3.0 ports support desk docking. Buyers who want more storage or discrete graphics for rendering, gaming or CAD should look at something else. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 and fixed 8GB memory limit those workloads.

256GB SSD and 8GB RAM for daily tasks

The 256GB SATA SSD provides fast boot and application launch for typical business datasets. 8GB DDR3L handles multitasking across browser tabs, Office apps and video conferencing. Large media libraries, virtual machines or modern game installations will exceed the drive capacity and memory headroom. The 44Whr 3-cell battery and 65W adapter support mobile use within those constraints.

Questions about this item

What power adapter wattage is required for the Lenovo ThinkPad T560?

The laptop ships with a 65 Watt AC adapter, so that is the wattage needed to charge the 44 Whr battery and run the system under load.

Can I connect a legacy VGA monitor to the Mini DisplayPort or HDMI outputs on this T560?

The T560 provides Mini DisplayPort and HDMI ports; a VGA display would need an active adapter or dock because neither port outputs an analogue VGA signal natively.

Which LED or on-screen indicator confirms the Intel HD Graphics 520 is active after Windows 10 Pro boots?

After boot, open Device Manager and verify Intel HD Graphics 520 appears under Display adapters without a warning icon; the driver version shown there confirms the GPU is working.
