Foldable OLED 2-in-1 for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 1 is a 13.3-inch foldable 2-in-1 laptop built for professionals who need a compact, adaptable device. Its OLED touchscreen folds from an 11.77-inch flat display down to a 6.22-inch folded form, protected by a magnesium alloy and leather case. The system ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and includes the Lenovo Mod Pen for inking and navigation.

Suited for on-the-go productivity.

This device suits users who value portability and a unique folding screen for reading, annotating or presenting in tight spaces. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics relies on shared system memory, so buyers who need discrete GPU performance for rendering, gaming or compute workloads should look at a different class of machine.

Two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports

Connectivity hinges on two USB-C ports that carry data, power delivery and video output. Users who require legacy USB-A, HDMI, wired Ethernet or a memory-card slot without adapters will find the port selection limiting.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.40 GHz Intel Core i5-L16G7 stay quiet and cool when the 13.3" OLED panel runs at 300 nits all day?

The 5-core processor operates at 1.40 GHz with Intel UHD Graphics sharing 8 GB system memory, so sustained workloads stay within the thin 0.44" unfolded chassis without active fan noise.

What must I already own to use the two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports for charging and external displays?

You need USB-C cables or adapters that support Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode; the foldable includes no legacy USB-A, HDMI or barrel charger in the box.

Will my older 802.11n router limit the Wi-Fi speed on this foldable?

The Intel wireless card supports 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, so it will connect to an 802.11n router at that standard's maximum rate.
