14-inch WQHD OLED convertible

This Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga is a 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop with a 2560x1440 OLED touchscreen, Intel Core i7-6600U processor, 16GB memory and 1TB NVMe SSD. It ships new with Windows 10 Pro and includes a dockable stylus pen. The chassis weighs 2.8 lbs and meets military-spec durability tests.

Mobile professionals needing pen input

The convertible design and included stylus suit users who sketch, annotate or present on the move. The 16GB memory ceiling and integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 limit the machine for heavy video editing, 3D rendering or modern gaming workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics or user-upgradable RAM should consider other form factors.

Sustained performance with NVMe storage

The NVMe PCIe drive delivers read and write speeds up to three times faster than a standard SATA SSD, keeping file transfers and application launches responsive during long sessions. The 15-watt U-series processor can maintain its 3.4 GHz boost for extended periods thanks to the tested thermal design. A 15-second stylus charge provides up to 100 minutes of active use.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0" WQHD OLED touchscreen require any proprietary dock or adapter to use the included stylus?

The stylus docks directly into the chassis and recharges there; fifteen seconds of charging provides up to one hundred minutes of use.

Will my existing USB 3.0 peripherals work at full speed with the three USB ports on this ThinkPad X1 Yoga?

Yes, the three USB ports are USB 3.0 so current USB 3.0 devices will operate at their rated 5 Gbps throughput.

After first boot, how can I confirm the 1 TB NVMe SSD is recognised and performing at PCIe speeds?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose the disk labelled NVMe and verify the reported read and write speeds exceed typical SATA SSD limits.
