14" 2-in-1 for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga is a 14.0" convertible notebook with a 1920 x 1080 IPS touch display and Windows 10 Pro. An Intel Core i7-8665U quad-core processor reaches 4.8GHz turbo frequency alongside 16GB DDR3 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD. The dark-gray aluminium chassis weighs 1.35 kg and includes a fingerprint reader and a rechargeable pen that stores inside the body.

Upgraded unit inspected before dispatch

The supplier opens the manufacturer box to install the 2TB NVMe SSD and 16GB DDR3 configuration, then tests the system before shipping. No end-user assembly is required; the pen charges automatically while docked in its garage. Buyers who prefer an unopened factory seal should note the box has been opened for this upgrade and inspection process.

Thunderbolt over USB-C

Video output and high-speed peripherals use Thunderbolt via the USB-C ports alongside an HDMI connection. The Intel UHD Graphics integrated GPU handles the FHD panel and external displays but is not suited to sustained 3D workloads or gaming. Battery life reaches up to 18 hours, and Rapid Charge delivers 80% capacity in 60 minutes for roughly 14.4 additional hours unplugged.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Intel Core i7-8665U reaches its 4.8GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager in Windows 10 Pro, select the Performance tab, and watch the CPU clock speed while running a demanding task; it should spike to 4.8GHz when thermal headroom allows.

Which accessories are included in the box and which must be purchased separately?

The box contains the ThinkPad X1 Yoga notebook, the rechargeable ThinkPad Pen Pro that stores and charges inside the chassis, and the power adapter; no other peripherals are bundled.

Should I choose the 16GB DDR3 configuration or look for a higher-capacity option?

This unit ships with 16GB DDR3 soldered to the board, which cannot be upgraded later, so select it only if that capacity matches your workload.
