ThinkPad X220 Business Touch

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is a 12.5-inch business laptop with a touch display and Windows 10 Professional. It runs on an Intel Core i7-2640M processor with a turbo frequency of 3.50 GHz and includes a 256GB solid state drive. The system ships with 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 1366x768 HD touchscreen.

Upgrade from older Core 2 or first-gen Core machines

Moving from a Core 2 Duo or first-generation Core system brings a noticeable jump in responsiveness for office workloads and web browsing. The dual-core i7-2640M handles typical business multitasking well, especially when paired with the solid state drive. The upgrade is worthwhile if your current laptop struggles with slow boot times or mechanical drive noise.

256GB SSD and 4GB RAM headroom

The 256GB drive holds the operating system, business applications and a large document library with room to spare. Four gigabytes of DDR3 memory runs Windows 10 Pro and standard productivity suites comfortably for single-task workflows. Heavy multitasking with many browser tabs or large spreadsheets will exhaust the available memory and force paging to the SSD.
