Business ultraportable with touch and pen

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is a 12.5" laptop built for mobile professionals who need a responsive touch display and pen input. It runs Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on an Intel Core i7-2640M processor with 3.50 GHz turbo frequency. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR3 memory and a 320 GB hard drive provide space for business applications.

Verify OS, memory type and drive format

Confirm that your environment supports Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and that any peripherals or docking stations match the VGA and DisplayPort video outputs. The system uses DDR3 memory and a traditional hard drive rather than an SSD, so plan for mechanical drive performance. Three USB ports and a gigabit LAN connection handle standard office connectivity.

Touch and pen change daily workflow

The 1366x768 HD touchscreen combined with pen support enables direct annotation and navigation without a mouse. Dual microphone modes with keyboard noise suppression improve VoIP clarity in private or conference settings. A common docking connector allows shared workstations with other ThinkPad models, while the redesigned hinge adds durability for frequent transport.
