ThinkPad X220 Touch i7 business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is a 12.5-inch touchscreen laptop built for mobile professionals who need a compact Windows 8.1 Pro machine with a Core i7-2640M processor, 16GB of DDR3 memory and a 128GB solid-state drive. It suits users who value the classic ThinkPad keyboard and a durable chassis for daily office tasks.

HD touchscreen and legacy video outputs

The 1366x768 HD touch display uses shared system memory for graphics, which limits performance in modern visual workloads and prevents the use of higher-resolution external panels. Video output relies on one VGA port and one DisplayPort, so connections to current monitors may require adapters and the single DisplayPort 1.1a link caps external resolution and refresh rate.

Classic ThinkPad serviceability with older OS

The X220 allows straightforward access to the memory slots, SSD bay and wireless card through the bottom cover, making upgrades or repairs simple with basic tools. The pre-installed Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit operating system is no longer supported by Microsoft, so buyers must plan an immediate OS upgrade to maintain security patches and application compatibility.
