Lenovo ThinkPad X240 Ultrabook

This 12.5-inch business ultrabook ships new with Windows 7 Professional. An Intel Core i7-4600U processor reaches 3.3 GHz, supported by 8GB DDR3 memory and a 256GB solid-state drive. The 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen adds direct input for mobile professionals. MIL-SPEC testing and a carbon-fibre roll cage target durability in transit.

Installation and common issues

The unit arrives ready to use with the operating system pre-installed. Windows 7 Professional no longer receives security updates, so plan an upgrade path before connecting to a network. Only two USB ports are present; a hub may be required for multiple peripherals. The sealed chassis limits internal access to memory or storage.

Before you order

Verify that Windows 7 Professional satisfies your software-compliance requirements. Confirm that two USB ports and a single headset jack cover your peripheral needs. The 256GB drive capacity is fixed and not user-expandable without disassembly. Ensure the 12.5-inch form factor matches your mobility expectations.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 1920x1080 touch display is working correctly after setup?

Open a high-resolution image and pinch-to-zoom on the 12.5" FHD IPS panel; the 10-point touch should track smoothly at the native 1920x1080 resolution without scaling artifacts.

What accessories are included in the box and which must be purchased separately?

The laptop ships with the AC adapter and Windows 7 Pro recovery media; a docking station, external optical drive, or additional RAM modules are not included and must be sourced separately.

Which configuration should I choose between the available processor and storage options?

This listing is fixed to the Core i7-4600U running up to 3.3 GHz paired with a 256GB SSD and 8GB DDR3; no alternative CPU, RAM or storage capacities are offered for this SKU.
