Business ultrabook with Core i7-4600U

The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 is a 12.5 inch business ultrabook powered by an Intel Core i7-4600U processor reaching 3.3 GHz. It ships with Windows 7 Professional pre-installed and features a 2TB solid state drive paired with 8GB of DDR3 memory. The 1920 x 1080 IPS touch display and spill-resistant backlit keyboard support mobile productivity.

Suited for legacy OS and touch workflows

This unit suits users who require Windows 7 Professional for specific software compatibility and prefer a touchscreen interface. The carbon fibre roll cage and MIL-SPEC testing offer durability for frequent travel. Buyers needing a modern operating system, additional memory capacity, or newer connectivity standards should consider alternative devices.

2TB SSD decides storage capacity

The 2TB solid state drive provides the primary internal storage for the operating system, applications, and data. No hard disk drive is present, so total capacity is fixed at this amount. Verify that 2TB meets your requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

What does the 3.3 GHz turbo figure mean once the i7-4600U is inside the X240?

The 3.3 GHz is the maximum single-core turbo speed the Intel Core i7-4600U can reach when thermal headroom allows; sustained clocks will be lower under continuous load.

What does the Bluetooth 4.0 interface cap in real use?

Bluetooth 4.0 limits connections to low-energy and classic profiles at up to 1 Mbps throughput, so file transfers and audio streaming stay within that bandwidth ceiling.

What does the 12.5 inch 1920x1080 touch panel need to fit or mount?

The 12.5 inch FHD IPS touch display is built into the X240 lid with a carbon-fibre roll cage and MIL-SPEC tested hinges; no external mounting hardware is required.
