Business Ultrabook for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 is a 12.5" FHD IPS touch ultrabook powered by an Intel Core i7-4600U processor with 4M cache up to 3.3 GHz. It ships with Windows 8.1 Pro, 8GB DDR3 RAM and a 1TB hard drive. The carbon-fibre roll cage meets eight MIL-SPEC tests including 15000 ft low-pressure exposure.

Windows 8.1 Pro and Bluetooth 4.0 ready

Windows 8.1 Pro provides domain-join, BitLocker and remote-desktop features for managed IT environments. Bluetooth 4.0 supports low-energy peripherals such as mice and keyboards without a dongle. The 1TB hard drive and 8GB memory are factory-installed; no separate SSD or optical drive is included.

Simple deployment with one common pitfall

The chassis uses a spill-resistant backlit keyboard and a single headphone-microphone combo jack, so most users can start working immediately. The only frequent issue is the two USB ports limiting simultaneous accessories; a hub is often required for desk setups.
