Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a charger or optical drive separately?

The laptop ships with Windows 8.1 Pro installed, a backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 4.0 and two USB ports. No optical drive is included, so an external USB model is required for discs. The power adapter is supplied.

Should I choose the 1TB hard drive or look for an SSD version?

This unit has a 1TB hard drive and 8GB DDR3 RAM. The drive is not an SSD, so boot and load times are slower than solid-state models. If faster storage is a priority, a different configuration with an SSD would be needed.

What does the 3.3 GHz figure mean for everyday work?

The Core i7-4600U can reach 3.3 GHz in short bursts. For typical office tasks, web browsing and video calls it runs at lower speeds to save power, giving responsive performance while keeping the ultrabook cool and quiet.
