A single-port 32 Gbit/s Fibre Channel HBA with an SFP+ connector and PCI Express 3.0 x8 host interface
This single-port host bus adapter delivers 32 Gbit/s Fibre Channel connectivity over a PCI Express 3.0 x8 slot. It is designed for Lenovo ThinkSystem servers that require high-throughput storage networking. The card targets environments running all-flash arrays where low latency and high IOPS are critical.
The adapter uses a standard SFP+ transceiver interface, allowing fibre type and reach to be chosen per link. Its plug-in card form factor fits the compatible ThinkSystem chassis listed in the specifications. Installation follows normal PCIe card procedures without specialised mounting hardware.
Full hardware offloads move protocol processing off the host CPU, helping sustain up to 1.3 million IOPS with minimal processor overhead. The Gen 6 Fibre Channel engine is built on Cavium technology for efficient data movement. Power draw and thermal output remain proportional to the single-port 32 Gbps workload.

The adapter uses a PCI Express 3.0 x8 host interface, which caps practical throughput at the bus's 32 Gbit/s data transfer rate.
It is a plug-in card that fits a PCIe x8 or wider slot and needs a standard full-height bracket opening.
Insert the transceiver until it clicks, then remove the dust plugs and connect the fibre cables; the click is the step most often missed.
