1U rack server with Xeon E-2336 6-core CPU, 16GB DDR5, four 3.5-inch bays and dual 1GbE
The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR250 V2 is a 1U rack server designed for general purpose workloads. It ships with an Intel Xeon E-2336 six-core processor running at 2.90 GHz on the LGA 1200 socket. The system includes 16GB of DDR5 memory and uses the Intel C256 chipset. It targets buyers who need a compact rackmount platform for standard compute tasks.
Installed memory is 16GB DDR5 across four DIMM slots with a maximum capacity of 128GB. The board supports Lenovo TruDDR4 DIMMs at 3200 MHz for Xeon processors and 2666 MHz for Pentium processors with ECC UDIMM support. Storage bays accept four 3.5-inch hot-swap drives via SATA III interface but no drives are included. Buyers who want more storage than four SATA bays provide should look elsewhere.
A 450W power supply unit powers the server. Networking consists of two onboard 1GbE ports using the Broadcom BCM5720 controller with one port dedicated to XCC remote management. Expansion is provided through an x8 internal open riser slot. Front I/O includes USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 ports while rear I/O provides USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Builders who need a second card or higher speed networking cannot use this chassis.

The server has four DIMM sockets supporting Lenovo TruDDR5 at 3200 MHz with Xeon processors. Mixing different speeds or ranks may force all channels to run at the lowest common speed, so matching modules is recommended.
The XClarity Controller management port on the rear LAN provides remote health monitoring, and the front-panel LED shows power and thermal status during boot.
No drives are included; you need 3.5-inch SATA III HDDs or SSDs. Rack mounting rails are also not supplied and must be ordered separately for 1U installation.
