Entry tower server with a quad-core Xeon E-2434 at 3.40 GHz, 16 GB DDR5 ECC memory expandable to 128 GB, dual 1 GbE LAN, three PCIe slots including one PCIe 5.0 x16, SATA III RAID 0/1 support.
The Lenovo ThinkSystem ST50 V3 is an entry-level tower server built around a single Intel Xeon E-2434 quad-core processor running at 3.40 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR5 ECC UDIMM memory and supports up to 128 GB across four DIMM slots operating at 4400 MHz. The Intel C266 chipset provides SATA III connectivity and RAID 0/1 support. A fixed 300 W Gold power supply is included.
This tower server suits small offices or branch locations needing a quiet, general-purpose platform for file, print or lightweight application serving. The single-socket design and four memory slots limit compute density, so buyers who need dual-processor performance or larger memory footprints should evaluate other form factors. The 300 W power supply also restricts high-wattage add-in cards.
The LGA 1700 socket accepts only one processor, so the installed Xeon E-2434 defines the maximum core count and frequency available. No second CPU can be added, and future upgrades are confined to the same single-socket Intel Xeon E family supported by the C266 chipset.

The server provides three PCIe slots: slot 1 is PCIe 4.0 x4 open-ended at 25W full-height half-length, slot 2 is PCIe 5.0 x16 closed-ended at 75W full-height half-length, and slot 3 is PCIe 4.0 x4 open-ended full-height half-length.
Align the processor notches with the socket keys, lower it gently without force, and secure the retention lever; the frequent error is skipping the lever lock or misaligning the notches, which can bend pins.
Four DIMM slots accept Lenovo TruDDR5 ECC UDIMMs at 4400 MHz, allowing expansion from the installed 16 GB up to a maximum of 128 GB total capacity.
