Lenovo V15 Gen 2 laptop

This Lenovo V15 Gen 2 laptop ships new with Windows 11 Home. It is built for students and office workers who need a 15.6 inch FHD anti-glare display, 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD for everyday productivity. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics and 60Hz TN panel handle documents and web apps, not modern games or heavy creative workloads.

Processor and memory fit

The Intel Celeron N4500 runs at 1.10GHz base with a 2.8GHz turbo across two cores and two threads, backed by 4MB cache. This single specification decides whether the machine matches your workload; it suits light multitasking and browser-based tasks but will bottleneck video editing, compilation or virtualisation. Buyers who need more compute should look elsewhere.

Thermals, noise and power

A 45W power adapter charges the 2-cell 38WHr battery during normal use. The low-power Celeron and integrated graphics keep heat and fan noise modest for typical office sessions. Sustained loads will raise temperatures and spin the fan higher, which is expected for this class of chassis.

Questions about this item

What does the 2.8 GHz turbo frequency of the Celeron N4500 mean for everyday tasks?

The dual-core processor can briefly reach 2.8 GHz for short bursts such as opening apps or loading web pages, then returns to its 1.10 GHz base speed for sustained work.

Which wireless standard is fitted and what practical speed limit does it impose?

The laptop uses 802.11ac Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 5.1, so maximum wireless throughput is capped at the ac standard rather than newer ax or be speeds.

Can the 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD be replaced with a larger M.2 drive?

The storage is a single M.2 PCIe NVMe module; swapping it for a higher-capacity M.2 NVMe drive is physically possible but requires re-installing Windows 11 Home.
