Entry-level business laptop

The Lenovo V15 Gen 2 is a 15.6-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built around a 10th Gen Intel Celeron N4500 processor with two cores and a 2.8 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB 2242 PCIe NVMe SSD. The 1920 x 1080 TN panel runs at 60 Hz and has an anti-glare finish.

Step up from slower storage and less RAM

Replacing a mechanical hard drive with the NVMe SSD cuts boot and application load times dramatically. Moving from 4GB to 8GB of DDR4 allows multiple browser tabs and office documents to stay open without swapping. The jump is worth it when the current machine stalls on everyday multitasking.

Suits students and office workers on a strict budget

This configuration handles web apps, email, document editing and video calls over Wi-Fi or the RJ-45 port. Buyers who need faster rendering, dedicated graphics, a colour-accurate IPS screen or more than 256GB of internal storage should look at higher-tier models.

Questions about this item

What size M.2 slot does the 2242 PCIe NVMe SSD occupy?

The drive uses the 2242 form factor, a 42 mm long M.2 card that fits the single onboard M.2 slot.

Which screw secures the bottom cover during SSD or memory upgrades?

Remove the nine Phillips screws around the perimeter, then pry the cover from the front edge — the hidden clips release before the rear screws clear.

How do I replace the 38 WHr battery when it no longer holds charge?

Disconnect the battery cable after removing the bottom cover, unscrew the two battery screws, swap in a compatible 2-cell pack, then reverse the steps.
