Lenovo V15 Ryzen 7 7730U Laptop

This new Lenovo V15 laptop runs on an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor with 8 cores and a 4.5 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 40GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB PCIe SSD. The 15.6 inch FHD IPS display offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution, anti-glare coating and 300nit brightness. Integrated AMD Radeon graphics handle visual output on the 60Hz panel.

Suits office workers and students needing ample RAM

The 40GB memory and large SSD suit multitasking, document work and video calls via the webcam and Wi-Fi 6. The 14.14 x 9.28 x 0.78 inch chassis weighs 3.64 lbs. Buyers who need a dedicated GPU for 3D rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The lack of a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader may disappoint users wanting those features.

40GB DDR4 memory is the deciding spec

This configuration provides 40GB of DDR4 memory, which is the key figure for heavy multitasking and large dataset handling. The single 1 TB PCIe SSD offers the primary storage capacity. Integrated AMD Radeon graphics share system memory, so the 40GB total directly affects graphics performance headroom. Verify that this memory amount meets your workload requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

How is the 40GB DDR4 memory installed, and which step is often missed?

The laptop ships with 40GB DDR4 already fitted by the supplier's engineers; no user installation is required, and the only common oversight is forgetting to run Windows Update after first boot to refresh drivers.

What maintenance or replacement will the 1TB PCIe SSD need later?

The 1TB PCIe SSD has no moving parts and requires no scheduled maintenance; replacement is only necessary if capacity runs out or a SMART warning appears.

What limit appears first on the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U during sustained heavy workloads?

The 15 W default TDP of the 8-core processor is reached before the 4.5 GHz turbo can be maintained, so clocks drop to stay within the power envelope.
