A 50mm f/2.5 manual-focus lens with a 12-blade aperture that tilts up to 15 degrees to place a curved sweet spot of focus anywhere in the frame
The Lensbaby Composer Pro II Sweet 50 is a 50mm f/2.5 lens for Nikon F mount that creates a movable sweet spot of focus surrounded by gradual blur. Photographers tilt the lens up to 15 degrees to position that spot anywhere in the frame. A 12-blade aperture ring on the optic adjusts from f/2.5 to f/22 for manual depth-of-field control.
At wider apertures the sweet spot is small and the surrounding blur is pronounced, while stopping down enlarges the focused area and softens the transition. The 12-blade diaphragm maintains a round opening throughout the range, so out-of-focus highlights render smoothly without polygonal edges. Manual focus from 15 inches to infinity lets the user refine placement for each shot.
The 50mm field of view is fixed, so composition relies on physical positioning rather than zoom. Focus and tilt are entirely mechanical with no electronic coupling to the camera body. The optic swaps within the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, but the lens itself offers no autofocus, stabilisation or aperture automation.

The aperture is controlled by a manual ring on the front of the optic with 12 blades; it operates silently since there is no electronic motor.
This model is built for the Nikon F mount and will not fit other bayonets without a separate adapter.
Yes, the lens tilts up to 15 degrees mechanically and uses manual focus, so it functions fully on any Nikon F body regardless of electronic contacts.
