Questions about this item

Does the 6-watt LED module require periodic replacement or can it run for years without maintenance?

The integrated LED is rated for long life; no user-replaceable bulb is specified, so the fixture itself would be swapped only if output degrades after extended use.

What stops the clamp from opening wider than 2 inches when I attach it to a thick desktop?

The adjustable C-clamp has a maximum gap of 2 inches, so surfaces thicker than that cannot be secured with the supplied clamp.

How warm does the metal shade get after the lamp has been on all day?

Dissipation holes on top of the shade vent heat, keeping the metal surface warm but not hot during continuous operation.
