In-wall USB-C charger for laptops and tablets

The Leviton T5636-W installs in a standard electrical box and provides a single USB-C port rated at 60W Power Delivery alongside a 15A tamper-resistant AC outlet. It is intended for home or office locations where phones, tablets and laptops need fast charging without occupying the mains socket.

60W single-port Power Delivery

The charger delivers up to 60W on one USB-C connection, enabling rapid charging for compatible USB-PD laptops, tablets and phones. Devices that do not support Power Delivery will charge at their standard rate, so buyers should confirm PD compatibility before purchase.

Sustained output with thermal protection

An internal smart chip manages power delivery continuously and engages overcurrent protection if the connected device draws excessive current. The unit requires an extra-deep wall box for installation, and the wallplate is sold separately.

Questions about this item

What does the 60-watt USB-C Power Delivery rating mean when I plug in a laptop?

The single USB-C port can deliver up to 60 watts of power to a compatible laptop, tablet or phone, charging supported devices up to twice as fast as standard USB chargers.

How does the USB-C Power Delivery interface limit what I can actually charge?

The port negotiates the optimal voltage and current for each connected device, so only Power Delivery compatible hardware will reach the full 60-watt rate; other devices charge at their normal USB speed.

What wall-box depth is required to mount this charger?

Installation requires an extra-deep wall-box; the unit measures 1.4 inches by 1.73 inches by 4.04 inches, so the box must accommodate that depth.
