Clear Travel Umbrella — 38in Canopy

The Lewis N. Clark Travel Umbrella in Clear is a full-size, windproof and water-repellent canopy designed for adults who need reliable rain protection on the move. Its automatic open-and-close button deploys the 38-inch canopy with one hand, leaving the other free for luggage or a phone. The compact 11-inch folded length and 10-ounce weight make it easy to slip into a tote, briefcase or glove compartment for daily commutes or trips.

Wind Resistance & Weather Performance

The frame survived being turned inside out 20 times in 30 mph winds without breaking, thanks to flexible fiberglass tips and a rust-resistant metal structure. A Teflon-like coating repels water so the canopy shakes dry quickly after heavy rain or snow. The 16-inch arm length gives wide coverage while the chrome-plated steel shaft keeps the assembly rigid in gusty conditions.

Included Storage Sleeve & One-Touch Operation

A matching storage sleeve protects the folded umbrella and prevents wet fabric from soiling other items inside a bag. The single push-button mechanism opens and closes the canopy instantly with minimal force, allowing one-handed use while boarding transport or entering buildings. The ergonomic handle adds a secure grip during rapid deployment.

Questions about this item

How do I operate the automatic open and close button on this umbrella?

Press the one-touch button once to open the canopy instantly; press it again to close. The manual slider must be fully retracted first, or the mechanism will jam.

When will the Teflon-like water-repellent coating need reapplication?

The coating wears off after repeated heavy rain exposure. Re-treat the canopy with a fabric waterproofer when water stops beading and starts soaking into the fabric.

At what wind speed does the frame risk permanent bending?

The frame is tested to survive 20 inversions in 30 mph winds; sustained gusts above that speed can overstress the metal ribs and fiberglass tips.
