Lexar JumpDrive Solid State Dual Drive D500 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C USB flash drive

SKU CH-57A8-GF69E

Dual USB-A and USB-C connectors enable fast 400MB/s transfers between phones, tablets and computers in capacities up to 1TB

  • Transfer files between phones and computers using dual USB-A and Type-C connectors
  • Read and write large files quickly with speeds up to 400MB/s
  • Store up to 1TB of photos, videos and documents
  • Metal swivel housing protects the drive from 32°F to 122°F
  • Automatic offline backup via the Lexar app for iOS and Android

Versatile Connectivity

The Lexar JumpDrive D500 combines USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and Type-C connectors on a single drive. It is aimed at users who move files between phones, tablets, laptops and desktops without carrying separate adapters. Capacities reach 1TB for large media libraries.

Simple Plug-and-Play Setup

No drivers or cables are required; insert the appropriate end into the host device and the drive appears immediately. The swivel metal housing protects both connectors when not in use. The only common issue is forgetting to eject the drive before removal, which risks file corruption.

Sustained Transfer Behaviour

Read and write speeds each reach 400MB/s, so long transfers maintain throughput rather than dropping after an initial burst. The drive operates reliably from 32°F to 122°F, preventing thermal throttling during extended copies. The Lexar app adds automatic offline photo backup on iOS and Android.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the drive is delivering the advertised 400MB/s read and write speeds after setup?

Copy a large file to the drive and check the transfer rate in your OS file manager; sustained speeds near 400 MB/s indicate it is operating at full USB 3.2 Gen 1 performance.

What comes in the box and is any cable or adapter required for the Type-C connector?

The drive ships with both USB-A and USB-C connectors built into its swivel metal housing, so no extra cable or adapter is needed.

Which capacity should I choose if I want to store roughly 50 hours of 4K video?

The 1 TB version is rated for 50+ hours of 4K video, while smaller capacities hold proportionally less.
