This paper tray adds a 550-sheet input source to compatible Lexmark CS720de, CS725de, CX725de and CX725dhe printers. It supports a wide range of media sizes from A6 and Statement up to Legal and Folio. Envelopes, card stock and labels are also accepted. The tray is sold new and installs directly into the printer base.

Consistent Feeding Across Mixed Media Loads

The tray handles paper weights from 60 to 218 gsm, covering plain paper through heavy card stock. Sensors monitor tray presence, media level and empty status to prevent misfeeds during long print runs. Supported media types include plain paper, envelopes, card stock and labels without manual intervention. This allows unattended batch printing across varied stock.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 40C2100 tray draw when the CS725de runs all day?

The tray has no independent power supply; it draws all operating current from the host printer, so its added load is negligible.

Which printer models must I already own for the 40C2100 to function?

It fits only the Lexmark CS720de, CS725de, CX725de and CX725dhe; no other model accepts this tray.

Will the 40C2100 tray work alongside an older Lexmark drawer I keep installed?

The printer treats each drawer independently; you can keep an existing tray and add this 550-sheet unit for extra capacity.
