Deciding specification — 10000-page yield at 5%

The rated yield of 10000 pages at 5% coverage is the single figure that determines whether this toner matches your print volume. Verify your printer model against the compatibility list before ordering.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Lexmark 601H cartridge and what step is often missed?

Open the front door, remove the old unit, shake the new cartridge gently side-to-side to distribute toner, then slide it firmly into the tracks until it clicks — skipping the shake causes light streaks on the first few hundred pages

What maintenance or replacement will the Lexmark 601H need after the toner runs out?

The cartridge itself is replaced once the 10000-page yield at 5% coverage is reached; the separate photoconductor unit in MX310dn, MX511de, MX611de and related models typically lasts longer and is swapped only when print quality degrades

What limit appears first during long, continuous print runs with the Lexmark 601H?

The 10000-page rated yield at 5% coverage is the first hard limit — high-coverage documents or non-stop printing will reach that threshold sooner and require a fresh cartridge
