27-inch 100 Hz VA curved monitor

This 27-inch LG display uses a VA panel with a 1500R curvature to wrap the 1920 x 1080 image around the viewer. A 100 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms grey-to-grey response time keep motion clear for everyday gaming and video. The panel covers 99 percent of the sRGB gamut and supports HDR10 for richer highlights.

Upgrade from 60 Hz flat panels

Moving from a standard 60 Hz flat monitor adds smoother motion and a more immersive field of view thanks to the curved 1500R surface. The jump is worth it when you want fluid gameplay and deeper contrast without stepping up to a higher resolution that demands more graphics power.

Suited for single-monitor gaming and media setups

Buyers who need multiple video inputs for several devices, built-in speakers, or height and swivel adjustment should look elsewhere. The stand only tilts and connectivity is limited to one HDMI and one USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Questions about this item

Will the 100 x 100 mm VESA pattern on the 27U421A-B fit my existing monitor arm?

Yes, the monitor uses a standard 100 x 100 mm VESA mount so it will attach to any arm or bracket with that pattern.

The USB-C port is labelled DP Alternative — does it carry video from a laptop?

Connect the laptop to the USB-C port with a cable that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode; the single port handles video and data while the second USB-C port is for power only.

How often should I clean the 1500R curved VA screen to keep the 3000:1 contrast looking sharp?

Wipe the anti-glare coating gently with a dry microfibre cloth whenever dust appears; avoid liquids or pressure that could damage the curved surface.
