Genuine LG Washer Suspension Rod

This OEM suspension rod carries part number 4902FA1665W and is built for LG washing machines. It replaces a worn or broken original to restore proper drum support. The part is supplied new and ready for installation by a qualified technician or experienced DIYer.

Limits of a mechanical suspension rod

The rod absorbs vibration through metal springs and dampers that fatigue over time and heavy loads. It cannot compensate for an unlevel floor, damaged tub bearings or a cracked spider arm. If the machine still shakes after replacement, the root cause lies elsewhere in the suspension system.

The part number that confirms fit

Only the exact code 4902FA1665W guarantees compatibility with the intended LG models. Substituting a visually similar rod with a different number risks incorrect spring rate or mounting geometry. Verify the number on your service manual or the old component before ordering.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 4902FA1665W suspension rod or a different LG part number?

Order the 4902FA1665W rod only if your LG washer’s service manual lists that exact part number; a different number means a different fit.

What does the 4902FA1665W rod actually do inside my washer?

It supports the drum assembly, damping movement so the tub stays centred and the machine runs quietly through spin cycles.

Does the 4902FA1665W mount with standard LG hardware or a proprietary interface?

The rod uses LG’s original mounting points and bushings, so it bolts straight into the factory locations on compatible models.
