Everyday Item Tracker

The Life360 T1801A is a Bluetooth tracker sold as a two-pack in black. Each unit measures 1.49 inches square by 0.28 inches thick and weighs 8.9 grams. They attach to keys, bags or wallets and connect to a smartphone application on both iOS and Android. A non-replaceable lithium metal cell powers the device.

Upgrade From Basic Tags

These trackers replace simple key finders that only beep locally. The jump is worth it when you need crowd-sourced location history, a separation alert or an SOS button that shares your position with chosen contacts. They do not suit buyers who want a user-swappable battery or a louder 110 dB ring.

Build Integration

The plastic housing carries an IP68 water-resistant rating for daily exposure. Pairing is handled through the Life360 app, which also displays other family members and pets on one map. A double press on the tracker rings a silenced phone. No hub, subscription hardware or proprietary charger is required.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of each tracker so I know if it fits my key ring or wallet slot?

Each tracker measures 1.49 inches by 1.49 inches by 0.28 inches, which is 37.6 mm by 37.6 mm by 7.4 mm, and weighs 8.9 grams.

How do I set up the tracker with the Life360 app, and what step do people often miss?

Install the Life360 app, create an account, tap "Add Tile," then press the button on the tracker once to pair; the step many miss is granting the app precise location and background permissions so the tracker updates when the phone is locked.

When the battery dies after up to three years, can I replace it myself or must I buy a new tracker?

The battery is a non-replaceable lithium-metal cell sealed inside the plastic housing, so the entire tracker must be replaced once the battery is depleted.
