Dual-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System 2-Pack

The Linksys Atlas 6 MX2002 is a dual-band mesh WiFi 6 system designed for homes needing consistent wireless coverage across larger areas. It supports up to 25 or more connected devices simultaneously, making it suitable for households with many smartphones, laptops and smart-home gadgets. The two-node pack covers up to 2,000 square feet and uses intelligent mesh technology to maintain a single network name throughout the home.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous demand the system employs 160 MHz channels to provide more bandwidth and a stronger link for streaming and gaming sessions. It sends and receives multiple data streams at once, delivering four times the WiFi capacity of standard configurations. Dual-band speeds reach 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 2400 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, combining for a total throughput of up to 3.0 Gbps. The Qualcomm Immersive Home 214 Platform underpins this performance with stability during heavy multi-device usage.

Build Quality and Daily Use

Automatic software updates keep the mesh firmware current without manual intervention, while parental controls and a separate guest network help maintain security day to day. The Linksys App handles initial setup, ongoing monitoring and network management from a phone or tablet. Each node has been subjected to 25 real-world tests in the Linksys Life Lab to verify reliability before shipping. Nodes can be added later to extend coverage further if the layout changes.

The system uses a Qualcomm Immersive Home 214 Platform designed for stable, high-performance Wi-Fi 6 operation with automatic updates to maintain efficiency over long periods.

What broadband connection and mobile device do I need to set up the MX2002?

You need an existing internet modem or gateway plus a smartphone or tablet with the Linksys App installed to configure the dual-band mesh and manage parental controls.

Can I keep my current 2.4 GHz smart-home devices on this 2000 sq ft mesh?

Yes, the dual-band system supports 2.4 GHz at 600 Mbps alongside 5 GHz at 2400 Mbps, so older 2.4 GHz clients remain connected while newer devices use the faster band.
