Magnetic 3 cable for Apple Silicon Macs

The LISEN 2E332-Grey connects a USB-C power adapter to the Magnetic 3 port on 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models from 2021 onward and 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models from 2022 onward. It supports M2, M3 and M4 chip families and is intended for owners who need a replacement or spare charging cord. Buyers with older MagSafe 1 or 2 ports or USB-A power sources cannot use this cable.

140 W PD 3.1 sustained delivery

The cable is rated for 140 W Power Delivery 3.1 at 28 V and 5 A, matching the output of Apple 96 W and 140 W adapters. In typical use it maintains the full 140 W rate continuously rather than throttling after a short burst, enabling a 50 % charge in roughly 30 minutes. A brief 15 to 20 second handshake delay may occur with certain adapters as the magnetic safety circuit verifies the connection.

Braided construction with load-tested connector

A high-strength braided jacket resists wear, bending and tangling through 40 000 flex cycles. The Magnetic 3 head is laser-welded and UV-glued, passing a 13 kg pull test to protect solder joints. The magnetic release separates cleanly if the cord is tripped over, while an LED shows amber during charging and green when the battery is full.

Questions about this item

Will the 140 W PD 3.1 cable and its magnetic tip get warm or draw extra power if I leave it plugged in all day?

The cable supports 140 W PD 3.1 fast charging and the magnetic safety mechanism may add a brief 15-20 second delay when power is first applied, but no sustained heat or idle draw is specified.

Do I need a specific USB-C power adapter for the 140 W Magnetic 3 cable to work?

Yes, you must supply a USB-C PD 3.1 charger rated at 96 W or 140 W; the cable itself is male-to-female USB-C and cannot deliver power without that adapter.

Can I use this Magnetic 3 cable with my 2021 14-inch MacBook Pro that still has the original MagSafe 3 port?

Yes, the cable is compatible with all 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models from 2021 onward, including the 2021 M1 Pro/Max machines.
