Ultra-Thin Flat Plug

The LitStar 1 ft extension cord uses a 0.35 inch thick plug tilted at 45 degrees to fit behind furniture or appliances. Each pack contains two white cords rated for 13 A and 1625 W at 125 V. The NEMA 5-15P to 5-15R connectors accept both two and three-prong plugs for indoor use.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Built with 16 AWG SJT cord and pure copper conductors, the cable handles continuous draws up to its 1625 W rating without overheating. Double-jacketed PVC insulation and reinforced blades maintain stable contact during extended runs with high-draw appliances like microwaves or espresso machines rated at 1600 W.

Build Quality & Daily Use

Full-mould construction bonds plug, cord and receptacle into a single durable unit that resists pulling and bending. The low-profile design leaves the adjacent wall outlet free, while the one-foot length keeps countertops and floors clear of excess cable slack in kitchens, offices or living rooms.

Questions about this item

Does the flat 45° plug stay cool when the cord runs at 13 A all day?

The 16 AWG copper conductors and UL-listed construction are rated for continuous 13 A at 125 V, so the plug and cable remain within safe temperature limits at full load.

What outlet type must I already have for this 3-prong flat plug to work?

You need a standard NEMA 5-15R wall receptacle; the cord’s NEMA 5-15P plug fits directly without adapters.

Will the 0.35-inch profile clear the power brick of an older espresso machine rated at 1600 W?

The machine draws more than the cord’s 1625 W limit, so it should not be used with this extension.
