Compact 4K Streaming Encoder
The LiveU Solo Pro is a portable all-in-one encoder that accepts SDI and HDMI inputs for live 4K60 streaming. It bonds up to six IP connections including cellular, Wi-Fi and Ethernet using LiveU Reliable Transport. An internal battery provides approximately three hours of operation. Cellular modems are sold separately.
Field Production vs Studio Workflows
This unit suits solo operators and small crews who need bonded cellular reliability for remote contribution to platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitch. Studios with fixed fibre or dedicated satellite uplinks will not need the bonded modem architecture. Buyers without access to 4G or 5G data plans cannot use the primary connectivity method.
4K60 HEVC Headroom and Connectivity Limits
The encoder handles H.265 and H.264 at 4K60 NTSC or 4K50 PAL with 12G, 3G, HD and SD-SDI plus HDMI 2.0 inputs. Six bonded IP paths give generous headroom for fluctuating cellular signals. Battery life caps continuous remote use at roughly three hours. Modems must be sourced separately, so total bandwidth depends on external hardware.

Questions about this item
Which video source do I need — SDI or HDMI — to feed the encoder's 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs?
The encoder accepts both 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI and HDMI 2.0, so you can connect either an SDI or an HDMI camera output.
Will my older 3G-SDI camera work with the encoder's SDI input?
Yes, the SDI input supports 12G, 3G, HD and SD-SDI, so a 3G-SDI source is fully compatible.
How can I confirm the stream is encoding at 4K60 after I press start?
The encoder handles H.265/HEVC and H.264 AVC up to 4K60 NTSC and 4K50 PAL; monitor the preview and bitrate readout to verify the active resolution and frame rate.
