Thread Sealant for Pipe Joints

Loctite 50mL Thread Sealant Yellow is a pipe thread sealant supplied in a 50mL tube. It is intended for sealing threaded pipe connections in automotive, plumbing and industrial maintenance tasks where a medium-strength, removable bond is required.

Behaviour Under Continuous Pressure

The sealant is rated to withstand 10, 000 psi, providing a durable seal that resists leakage under sustained system pressure. It cures anaerobically to fill thread gaps and maintains integrity through vibration and thermal cycling without the short-term failure seen with tape alone.

Build Quality and Daily Use

The yellow colour allows visual confirmation of coverage during assembly and inspection afterwards. Supplied as a 50mL tube, it offers controlled dispensing for precise application on threaded fittings. A California Proposition 65 warning applies because the formulation contains a listed chemical.
