What the hub does
The Logico TCHB503 is a 3-in-1 USB-C hub that adds an HDMI output, a USB 3.1 data port and a USB-C power-delivery input to laptops such as the MacBook 2016 or ChromeBook. It lets you mirror or extend the built-in display to an HDMI TV or monitor while keeping the single USB-C socket free for charging. The adapter works plug-and-play without extra drivers.
Thermals noise and power
The hub draws bus power for its own operation and passes up to 60 W through its USB-C charging port to the host laptop. The USB 3.1 port supplies a maximum of .9 A for connected peripherals. No active cooling is present so the device runs silently under normal use.
Build and daily connections
A compact, lightweight enclosure makes the hub easy to carry in a bag or pocket. The HDMI port supports 4K output for external displays. The USB 3.1 port is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices such as keyboards, mice or flash drives. The USB-C charging port accepts the laptop's original power adapter for continuous operation.

Questions about this item
How do I install the Logico TCHB503 hub, and which step do people often miss?
Connect the hub's USB-C plug to a host port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode; the HDMI output will not work on a data-only USB-C port.
What maintenance or replacement will the TCHB503 need later?
No internal parts require service; if the cable or connectors wear out, replace the entire hub.
What limit appears first during sustained use of the TCHB503?
The USB-C PD charging port accepts up to 60 W, so a laptop drawing more power will not charge faster than that ceiling.
