Add Bluetooth to Existing Speakers

The Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter 980-000910 adds wireless streaming to powered speakers, home stereos or A/V receivers. It connects through a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack or RCA inputs and delivers stereo sound. The compact adapter measures 0.91 in x 1.97 in x 1.97 in and weighs 0.3858 pounds.

Check Power and Input Compatibility

Verify that your audio system has a spare 3.5 mm or RCA input and that it is self-powered. The adapter requires a 5 V DC corded power source, so a nearby mains outlet is necessary. Ensure the Bluetooth source device such as a smartphone or tablet is within 20 meters (66 feet) for reliable streaming.

Multipoint Pairing Simplifies Switching

The adapter supports multipoint connectivity, allowing a smartphone and a tablet to stay paired simultaneously. A single button press handles initial pairing and automatic re-pairing afterwards. Touch controls on the unit manage playback without a separate remote.
