Purpose-built PlayStation headset

The Logitech G Astro A10 Gen 2 is a wired over-ear headset designed for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. It uses a 3.5 mm audio jack and a 6.6 ft detachable cable to connect directly to a controller or compatible device. The closed-back circumaural design targets gamers who want a dedicated console headset with a durable headband and replaceable cushions for long sessions.

Detachable cable and PC splitter

The box includes a removable headphone cable with an in-line volume wheel so audio levels can be adjusted without opening a system menu. A PC audio splitter cable is also supplied, separating the single 3.5 mm plug into distinct headphone and microphone connectors for computer use. The integrated 6.0 mm unidirectional boom mic flips up to mute instantly, giving a physical privacy control that does not rely on software.

Analogue 3.5 mm connection limits

Because the headset relies on a passive 3.5 mm analogue link, audio quality and microphone gain depend entirely on the host device’s built-in sound hardware. No digital signal processing, surround virtualization or firmware updates are provided by the headset itself. Users who need USB audio, wireless freedom or active noise cancellation will find those features absent.

Questions about this item

Can the ear cushions and headband pad be replaced when they wear out?

Yes, the headset includes replaceable ear cushions and a replaceable headband pad so you can swap them instead of buying a new headset.

What connector limits the maximum audio quality on this headset?

The 3.5 mm audio jack is the only interface, so audio quality is bounded by the analog output of the PlayStation 5 controller or the PC splitter cable.

How much power does the headset draw from the controller during all-day sessions?

The 32 mm drivers have a 32 ohm impedance and 102 dB sensitivity, so they draw very little power from the PS5 controller even after hours of use.
