Product Identity

The Logitech G512 is a full-size wired gaming keyboard with 104 keys and GX Blue clicky mechanical switches. It targets players who want audible feedback and per-key RGB lighting in a durable aluminium frame.

Upgrade Path

It replaces membrane or non-mechanical keyboards that lack N-key rollover and programmable lighting. The jump is worth it when you need guaranteed simultaneous key presses and clicky actuation at 1.9 mm travel with 50 g force.

Build Fit

The keyboard connects through a single USB cable and adds an extra USB 2.0 port for a mouse or headset. Its 5052 aluminium top panel resists flex, while the 1.8 m cable reaches most rear I/O panels without strain.

Questions about this item

Will the 445 mm width and 34 mm height fit my desk space?

The keyboard measures 445 mm wide by 132 mm deep by 34 mm high and weighs 1020 g without the cable, so check your available desk area against those dimensions.

What is the correct way to connect the keyboard and the extra USB 2.0 port?

Plug the 1.8 m attached USB cable into a USB port on your PC; the built-in USB 2.0 pass-through port on the keyboard then works for a mouse or flash drive without extra drivers.

How long do the GX Blue C shaft switches last and can they be replaced?

The switches are rated for 70 million keystrokes; they are soldered to the PCB, so individual switch replacement requires desoldering equipment and is not a user-serviceable task.
