Signature Slim Solar+ Wireless Keyboard

The Signature Slim Solar+ K980 is a wireless keyboard designed for users who want a cable-free typing experience powered by ambient light. It connects via Bluetooth and includes a USB Type-C interface for charging. The 104-key layout uses rubber-dome switches for a familiar laptop-style feel. It suits minimal desk setups and runs on a replaceable lithium-ion battery with a lifespan up to 10 years.

Upgrade from battery-swapping keyboards

This model replaces keyboards that require disposable batteries or frequent manual recharging. The Logi LightCharge strip harvests energy from any light source, storing enough power for up to four months of use in total darkness. The jump is worth it for anyone tired of interrupted workflows caused by dead batteries or cables. It also adds an Action Key and AI Launch key programmable through the Logi Options+ App for task automation.

Limits of light-powered operation

The keyboard depends on sufficient ambient light to maintain its charge indefinitely; extended use in dark environments will drain the stored reserve. It supports pairing with up to three devices but requires the Logi Options+ App for key customisation and device switching. No mouse is included, so multi-device navigation needs a separate pointing device. Compatibility starts from Windows 98 onward.

Questions about this item

What desk depth does the 20 mm profile require?

The keyboard measures 20 mm thick, so any flat surface with at least that much clearance will accommodate it.

How do I pair the keyboard with three devices and which step is often missed?

Press the Easy-Switch key to select channel 1, 2 or 3, then hold it until the LED flashes; the missed step is completing the Bluetooth pairing on each host before switching channels.

When should I replace the rechargeable lithium-ion battery?

The battery is rated for up to 10 years; replace it when it no longer holds a charge after normal light exposure.
