Logitech Z906 980-000467 5.1 speaker 500W

5.1 THX-certified speaker system

The Logitech Z906 is a 5.1 surround sound speaker system rated at 500 W RMS with THX certification and Dolby Digital plus DTS decoding. Five satellites each deliver 67 W RMS while the subwoofer provides 165 W RMS for deep bass. A wired control console and infrared remote give direct access to volume and input selection. The system accepts 3.5 mm, RCA, six-channel direct, optical and coaxial connections for broad device compatibility.

Upgrade from basic stereo or soundbar

This system replaces simple two-channel desktop speakers or a single soundbar when the listener wants discrete 5.1 surround decoding and higher output. The jump is worth it for users who watch Dolby Digital or DTS content and need a dedicated centre channel for dialogue clarity. Peak power reaches 1000 W for dynamic movie scenes and gaming effects. Signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 95 dB for clean reproduction.

Suited for multi-device home theatre setups

Buyers who connect a PC, TV, game console and music player simultaneously will benefit from the six available inputs and the stackable control console. The satellites are wall-mountable for flexible placement in medium-sized rooms. Shoppers who only need stereo audio for a desktop monitor or who lack space for a subwoofer measuring 350 mm deep should consider a simpler 2.0 or 2.1 arrangement.
