Dashboard Silicone Phone Mount

The Loncaster CPH01 is a rectangular silicone pad that sits on a flat dashboard to hold a smartphone or GPS device in a horizontal orientation. Its textured bottom and included sticky pads grip the surface without permanent adhesive. A shallow storage recess keeps cables, keys or change within reach while driving.

Check Dashboard Flatness and Phone Thickness

The mount needs a clean, dust-free area of roughly five inches by five inches on the dashboard for the silicone base to adhere properly. Verify that the phone, including any protective case, does not exceed 12 mm in thickness or the cradle will not grip securely. The surface must be level; curved or heavily textured dashboards will reduce holding power.

Stable Grip During Sudden Stops

Under sustained vibration and hard braking the silicone base and sticky pads work together to keep the device from sliding or lifting off the cradle. The material resists heat buildup inside a parked vehicle and can be rinsed with water to restore its original tackiness. Horizontal-only orientation limits viewing angles but maintains a low centre of gravity for consistent stability.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and is any extra adhesive or hardware needed?

The package contains one CPH01 silicone dashboard mount. No additional adhesive or mounting hardware is required; the unit uses a washable sticky bottom that adheres directly to a clean, flat dashboard area.

Which version should I choose for a phone with a thick protective case?

The holder accepts devices between 6 mm and 12 mm thick. Verify that your phone plus its case does not exceed 12 mm; if it does, this model will not grip securely.

What does the 250 gram weight limit mean for everyday use?

It supports most smartphones and small GPS units weighing up to 250 grams. Heavier devices or tablets may exceed the limit and could detach during sudden stops or sharp turns.
