Two-channel isolated CAN Bus HAT for Raspberry Pi with dual MCP2515 and SN65HVD230 chips, electrical isolation, TVS and ESD protection, selectable 3.3V or 5V operation and 120Ω termination
This LORDWORLD expansion board adds two independent CAN Bus channels to any Raspberry Pi with a 40-pin GPIO header. It uses an MCP2515 controller and SN65HVD230 transceiver on each channel to provide reliable communication for automotive, industrial or robotics projects.
Developers who require CAN FD support, higher throughput or more than two channels will need a different solution. The board is not suited for systems without a 40-pin Raspberry Pi header or for applications that demand onboard processing beyond CAN framing.
Each channel pairs an MCP2515 controller with an SN65HVD230 transceiver behind electrical isolation, a SM24CANB TVS diode and ESD protection. Onboard jumpers select 3.3 V or 5 V logic and enable or disable the 120 Ω termination resistor. C and Python examples plus a manual are included.

Select 3.3V to match the Pi GPIO logic level; choose 5V only if your external CAN device requires 5V signalling.
It gives two independent CAN buses on one HAT, each with its own controller and isolated transceiver for simultaneous send and receive.
Enable it on the two end nodes of each CAN line to absorb reflections; leave it off on intermediate nodes to avoid loading the bus.
