4-Port HDMI 2.1 Switch for Multi-Device Gaming

This HDMI 2.1 switch connects four source devices to a single display, letting gamers move between consoles and a PC without swapping cables. It handles 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz, 2K at 144 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz. The unit supports HDCP 2.3, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and RGB 8:8:8 colour for full dynamic range.

Bandwidth and Format Limits of the HDMI 2.1

The switch passes up to 48 Gbps of video bandwidth, which is the ceiling for uncompressed 8K 60 Hz or high-refresh 4K signals. Dolby Vision and HDR10 metadata travel through the same link, but the sink must also support those formats. Auto-switching relies on the source signalling a hot-plug event; some devices keep the line active and will not trigger a change.

Check Your Sources and Cables Before Ordering

Verify that each console, PC or streamer can output the resolution and refresh rate you want over HDMI 2.1. Use certified ultra-high-speed HDMI cables rated for 48 Gbps on every input and the output run. Ensure the display accepts the same HDMI 2.1 feature set, including HDCP 2.3 and HDR10, otherwise the signal will fall back to a lower mode.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 8K 60 Hz mode or the 4K 120 Hz mode for my setup?

Pick 8K 60 Hz if your display and source both support 8K resolution; choose 4K 120 Hz for smoother motion on 4K screens that cannot reach 8K.

What does the 48 Gbps bandwidth actually deliver on my screen?

It carries the full HDMI 2.1 data rate, enabling 8K 60 Hz, 4K 120 Hz, 2K 144 Hz or 1080p 240 Hz with HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

Does the HDMI 2.1 interface limit me to 4K 60 Hz in practice?

No. The HDMI 2.1 ports support the full 48 Gbps specification, so 8K 60 Hz, 4K 120 Hz, 2K 144 Hz and 1080p 240 Hz are all achievable.
