It connects through a SATA 3.0 22-pin interface and passes through the native 6.0 Gbps, 3.0 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps signalling rates without an intermediate controller chip. The board also accepts 30 mm by 26 mm mSATA modules if you reposition the locating column yourself. It works with Windows 7 through 11, Windows Server 2008 R2 through 2019, Mac OS, Linux and FreeNAS.

Suits mSATA upgrades; not for Mini PCIe

This adapter is built for owners of 30 mm by 50 mm or 30 mm by 26 mm mSATA drives who need a 2.5 inch form factor for a laptop bay, desktop cage or external enclosure. Buyers with 50 mm Mini PCIe SATA or Mini PCIe PATA cards cannot use it because the connector and pin-out are different.
