A 7-inch 800x480 capacitive touch display with HDMI input for Raspberry Pi, Banana Pi and BeagleBone Black, plus general PC monitor use
This 7-inch development board delivers an 800x480 capacitive touch display designed to fit Raspberry Pi single-board computers. It also supports Banana Pi, Banana Pro and BeagleBone Black with ready-made system images. The panel doubles as a general-purpose HDMI monitor for other hosts.
The display draws power and video over HDMI, so thermal load matches the host board rather than adding its own heat source. Continuous touch input and video playback remain stable as long as the host maintains adequate power delivery and cooling. No active cooling is integrated on the LCD itself.
Connection uses standard HDMI and USB for touch, making physical hook-up straightforward on supported boards. Pre-built Raspbian, Lubuntu and Angstrom images enable touch without extra driver work on those platforms. For other mini-PCs the supplier states that a driver must be developed by the user, which is the main integration hurdle. The panel lacks mounting hardware, so a custom bracket or case is usually required.

The LCD has no fan or moving parts, so it stays silent and only adds the modest warmth of its backlight to the host board.
You need a Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone Black or Banana Pi with an HDMI output and a spare USB port for the touch interface, plus the matching HDMI and USB cables.
Yes, the screen accepts standard HDMI video and USB touch from those boards; the supplier provides ready-made Raspbian and Angstrom images for them.
