8-inch capacitive touch panel with 800×480 resolution, DSI interface, OV5647 5 MP camera and pogo-pin power for clean Raspberry Pi integration
This development board combines an 800×480 capacitive display with an OV5647 5MP front camera offering 2592×1944 still resolution and a 72.9° diagonal field of view. It targets Raspberry Pi makers who need integrated visual output and capture in a single module. The large front panel simplifies custom enclosure design.
The board connects through the Raspberry Pi DSI port and draws power via pogo pins, removing the need for separate wiring looms. Two 5V output headers are provided to drive a cooling fan or other low-power peripherals directly from the panel. SMD nuts give secure mounting points for compact integration.
An LCD FFC cable with anti-interference design maintains signal integrity during extended industrial use. VCOM voltage adjustment lets you optimise display quality over long sessions, reducing drift that can appear after continuous operation. The fixed 800×480 panel resolution and camera specs define the sustained throughput ceiling.

The camera captures up to 2592×1944 resolution, but sustained frame rate depends on the host Raspberry Pi board's CSI bandwidth and thermal throttling.
The panel itself has no fan; heat comes from the attached Raspberry Pi and any device powered from the 5 V output headers, so noise and temperature vary with that board and load.
Any Raspberry Pi with a DSI display port and a CSI camera connector, plus the matching DSI FFC cable and CSI ribbon cable, are needed to drive the 800×480 panel and 5 MP camera.
