Lightweight carbon-fibre boom pole

The LORDWORLD BoomPole Lite extends from 3.3 to 8.2 feet using three reinforced carbon-fibre sections. An internal coiled XLR cable runs the full length, keeping the signal path tidy. A foam-padded grip and jam-resistant twist locks make it comfortable for long production days. The pole is aimed at location sound operators and solo video creators who need a compact, professional boom.

Upgrade from fixed-length or aluminium poles

Telescoping to 2.5 metres replaces separate short and long poles in a kit bag. The internal cable removes the hassle of taping external runs, so setup is faster on documentary or corporate shoots. The 1/4"-20 stud with 3/8 and 5/8 adapters fits existing shock mounts and on-camera microphones without extra hardware. It is not for crews who need a longer reach than 8.2 feet or a heavier-duty pole for large shotgun microphones.

Capacity and headroom

The pole supports up to 6.6 lbs total load, covering most compact shotgun mics and lightweight stereo pairs with a shock mount. At full extension the carbon-fibre construction stays rigid enough for controlled boom operation. The padded carry case and five touch-fastener cable ties keep the pole and accessories organised during transport. It runs out of reach for high-angle work on large sets or when a microphone package exceeds the weight limit.

Questions about this item

What is the collapsed and extended length of the boom pole?

The three-section carbon fibre pole collapses to 3.3 feet and extends to 8.2 feet, giving a working range of 1 m to 2.5 m.

How do the twist locks work and what is the common mistake?

Twist each collar clockwise until the jam-resistant coupling seats; the step users miss is not tightening fully, which lets sections slip under a microphone load.

What parts might need replacement after heavy use?

The internal coiled XLR cable and the foam-padded grip are the wear items; the pole includes five touch-fastener ties to manage cable stress and a padded case for protection.
